They are eager to kick off their competitive season on a high note this weekend.

Rangers, on the other hand, experienced a disappointing end to last season, losing the league and cup titles to Celtic in the closing stages.

Their pre-season was also underwhelming, with defeats to Ajax Amsterdam, Manchester United, and Birmingham City, and a 4-4 draw against Union Berlin in their most recent friendly.
