UKSSD is pleased to launch its new partnership with London’s BEE Midtown – the first business network of its kind in the UK to commit to bringing its members together to work collectively for the Sustainable Development Goals.

Midtown, covering the areas of Holborn, Bloomsbury, St. Giles, Farringdon and Clerkenwell, is home to 14,000 businesses. BEE Midtown, a Business Improvement District which represents over 400-member businesses in Midtown, will work with UKSSD to design collaborative programmes to accelerate progress on the SDGs in the Midtown area, support responsible business practices, and enable the influence of its membership to push London and the UK to go further.

This offer gives Midtown businesses the opportunity to be pioneers in London and is designed to enable hyper-local action on global issues and create a point of collective representation in the capital.

“We want to drive long-term sustainable commercial and social growth for all businesses in Midtown, but we can’t do this alone,” said Tass Mavrogordato, Chief Executive of BEE Midtown. “By working with UKSSD, we will be able to do even more to help our member businesses align their corporate strategy with responsible and sustainable practices.”

As well as our Midtown-UKSSD programme, by joining the partnership members of BEE Midtown will become partners of UKSSD, giving them full access to our national programmes.
