Newly promoted Oxford Utd kick off their Championship campaign against Norwich City this lunchtime. The game will be broadcast live on tv.

Its been a while for O’s fans but Oxford United finally reached the second tier of English football for the first time since the 1998/99 season, when it was still known as Division One.

Des Buckingham’s side secured their promotion by defeating Bolton Wanderers 2-0 in the League One Play-Off Final at Wembley Stadium.

This Saturday afternoon clash at the Kassam Stadium will be broadcast live on the new Sky Sports Football+ channel starting at 12:30 PM. As well as this, you can stream the game via Bet365’s in play service, which will be in operation from the kick-off.

The newcomers have been busy in the transfer market as well, bringing in former West Bromwich Albion winger Matt Phillips, who joined the club last week.

Norwich City will be looking to rebuild, dismissing manager David Wagner following a 4-0 aggregate loss to Leeds United in the Championship Play-Off Semi-Final.

Johannes Hoff Thorup has been brought in at the helm. The ex FC Nordsjaelland boss has been appointed as the new head coach on a three-year contract.

There have been a few ins and outs at Carrow Road as well, with Callum Doyle arriving on a season-long loan from Manchester City.

Brazilian midfielder Gabriel Sara also left during the summer for Galatasaray in a bumper £20 million fee.

The Canaries are the favourites to take all three points back to Carrow Road, although they may find things tough in front of an Oxford side eager to get something from their season opener.
